Part 1: Make a Zine and Find Out About Bill Traylor

Share the work of Artist Bill Traylor and his use of shapes, color, and interpretation to create artwork from his observations.



Part 2: Observing, Art Making, Reflecting and Sharing (1 Hour)

Use the zine for observations. Make art from observations, using Bill Traylor as inspiration. Share reflections of observing, recording, creating and looking at art.

Part 3: Lesson Planning/Group Work Time, Next Steps

Reflect on personal goals for strengthening art standards focus. Work in school groups.
