Patterns and More Artmaking


Participants analyze the process of their artmaking that occurred in the prior PD, and discuss how artmakin can be focused on patterns in a particular content area. Teaching Artists and STEAM Teachers lead their school groups in a discussion about patterns, which leads to another opportunity for artmaking.

Approximate Time: 2 Hours

Part 1: Welcome and Survey (10 minutes)

Participants review the agenda for the day, take a survey, and review data from the previous survey.





Part 2: Analyzing Your Artwork Process

Participants discuss their artmaking process, then think about patterns in a content area they teach.



Part 3: Breakout Group Time: Core Team-led Artmaking and Discussion

STEAM teachers and Teaching Artists lead discussions about patterns and artmaking, then create art based on their discussions.
