Mission to Mars

Mission to Mars is a 15-lesson unit outline about things people need to survive. First Grade students use their findings to design and create wearable inventions that will help them live in space, and show them off in a wearable invention fashion show. Students also create stories on paper and create videos that explore what it might be like to live in space.  Artists such as Eric Carle Jr, Nick Cave, and George Méliès and their work with art, design, and video are available to support students’ thinking.
