Materials: materials: foam board, scissors, oil pastel, watercolor, wire, string, glue

Unit: Kinetic Sculpture



Summary:
Apply experimentation with the
interaction of oil & water and the understanding of balance to create mobiles.

Lesson Sequence:

Lesson 1:
  1. Introduction to mobile artist 
  2. Begin cutting out foam in preparation for mobiles

Lesson 2 + 3:
  1. Material experimentation handouts with oil pastel and watercolor
  2. Decorate foam shapes

Lesson 4:

  1. Balance and complete mobiles using string and wire.
